Potential Ohio Streams for Brook Trout Reintroduction

The following map shows the current list of four new potential streams for reintroduction of native Ohio brook trout as identified by CWI members Jeff Hundt and Dave Homans. Click on the name of the potential watershed you would like to see described in more detail:

Deep Gorge Creek Holden Arboretum Thwing/Mulberry/Heath North Taylor-Wells

It should be noted though that this is only a preliminary list. If anyone has any information on any small headwater streams in Northeast Ohio that fits the criteria for being a potential brook trout stream (especially streams in highly potential areas outside of the Chagrin Watershed, such as the Rocky River drainage and much of the upper Cuyahoga) please contact either Terry Harmon at the University School at (216) 831-2200, Vince LaConte of the Ohio Department of Natural Resources Division of Wildlife at (330) 644-2293 or Dave Homans.
